MORE Oddities from Months Past

"Oddities" are identifiable Depression Glassware items that, for one reason or another, are NOT included in standard references such as Gene Florence's Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass, (Collector's Books, latest [14th] edition published 2000). [NOTE: Some of these items have subsequently been added to popular publications].

The term "Oddity" also applies to whimsical items produced from or with identifiable depression glass pieces.  In many cases, "Oddities" are essentially "Rarities."

Here are some more oddities that have come our way over the past few years:

Ruby Luncheon Set, 17-pieces: Consists of  four Cups and Saucers; one Creamer; one Sugar; four 8" Luncheon Plates; and one 14" Buffet Plate (not shown)

Cobalt Blue Punch Set: Includes two piece Punch Bowl; chrome Top with bakelite knob; Ladel with matching bakelite knob; Chrome shelf; and eight or more punch cups.
